Love is a Drag is a "gay" vocal jazz LP from 1962, featuring jazz standards originally only intended for the female voice but sung by a male vocalist on this album. The vocalist is not attributed on the album, but has been identified as Gene Howard. The back cover notes that "drag" means "a bore, a headache."
Note: In 1962, Illinois was the only state in the U.S. where homosexuals acts were not illegal.
