Olivia Records
Olivia Records was founded in 1973 as a collective to record and market women's music. In 1973, Olivia put out a 45 with Meg Christian on one side and Cris Williamson on the other. Revenue from this 45 allowed for the release of two LPs in 1974.
Meg Christian's I Know You Know became the first album released by Olivia Records. It contained "Ode to a Gym Teacher."
Cris Williamson's The Changer and the Changed was the second album released by Olivia. It became one of the most successful independent record albums ever sold.
